Escape PHEV
Sporty, efficient and oh-so effortless, the Escape ST-Line Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) is Ford's first plug-in hybrid SUV. Going electric has never been this easy.
What is a PHEV?
PHEV stands for a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle. Using two different sources of power- petrol or diesel, and an electric motor which uses stored energy from a battery.
Electric your way
On long journeys the technology seamlessly switches from electricity to petrol when the battery runs low, so you’ll never miss a beat.
Charge on the go
When you’re driving, a combination of regenerative braking and power drawn from the engine helps replenish the battery. And if you need to recharge on-the-go, you can easily use an ever-growing network of public charging stations too.
Monitor your battery (FordPass)
FordPass1 allows you to view the Escape’s charge and fuel levels in the app and calculate how many kms you can travel at that level. FordPass can send notifications when the charge level of your battery and fuel level are running low.
